Beyond my work at Smith & Raver LLP, I am actively involved in promoting live contemporary music in the Twin Cities, and write lyrics for a local band, ‘Keith Johnson and The Grassy Knolls‘, who will have their third CD completed soon. I am also working on a challenging novel and as a poet. I’ve been exploring acting as an amateur, having appeared in the 2010 Fringe Festival musical, ‘Shrubs,” as none other than Dick Cheney.
I was born and raised in the Twin Cities. After spending several years in California in my early twenties, and graduating with honors from San Fransico State University, like many native Minnesotans, I came home in 1992, in my case to study law at William Mitchell College of Law.
Since graduating in 1995, I have worked primarily in the field of civil litigation, on many varied cases large and small.
In December 2004, with my partner Morgan Smith, I founded the law firm of Smith & Raver LLP.
